The first ever throwable trap in Fortnite, the Zapper attaches itself on both sides of the wall to electrify all enemies within its vicinity. It does 50 damage with every strike!

The Zapper Trap can be used easily in both short- and mid-range. At long-range, it might be harder to attach the Zapper Trap to specific walls.

Attaches to Both Sides of Walls
The Zapper Trap is different from most Traps seeing as it doesn't only occupy one side of the wall. Both sides will have a Zapper that will activate when an enemy is near.
Does 50 Health Damage
The Zapper Trap complete bypasses shield and does immediate health damage instead. Even with full shields, players will take health damage from it.
Short Range Trap
Similar to other traps, the Zapper will only activate when an enemy comes near it. It only has a single tile activation so it's pretty short ranged.

Use to Damage Campers Hiding Behind Structures
The Zapper can completely take enemies inside forts or hiding in structures by surprise! Since it's throwable, it can even deal with enemies high up in a tower.
Set Zapper Trap In Surrounded Area
As the Zapper Trap will damage opponents in its range, set the Zapper Trap where it isissurrounded by walls. This will make it hard for opponents to get out from the effective area of the trap.

When inside a closed space and an enemy is coming after you, place a trap before a turn or in a hallway after you. They'll either have to go find another route, stop, or get caught in it.
Use Loot, Treasure Chests as Bait
Players looking for loot will not think twice when going after them. Place a Zapper Trap above or to the side of an unopened chest or floor loot and wait for unsuspecting players to get caught in it.
