Attack with High Poise Damage
The Raider benefits from high Poise, which makes him less likely to stagger. He can push forward with Charge Attacks while using "Retaliate" to break enemy stances and reduce incoming damage.
Support Allies with Ultimate Art
By using his Ultimate Art, the Raider summons a tombstone that buffs nearby allies and boosts overall damage output. You can amplify this advantage by combining it with other Ultimate Arts for high damage, or by having ranged characters, like Ironeye, climb the tombstone to attack from above.
Is Raider Strong?
How to Play Raider
Features |
---|
- Has strong Poise that prevents from being knockback from various attacks - Character Skill allows Raider to tank attacks while delivering powerful blows ┗ Taking damage boosts Character Skill and prevents staggering - Ultimate Art "Totem Stela" summons a giant tombstone ┗ The tombstone can buff allies and can also be used as a wall or platform to climb |
The Raider is built as a tank. His high poise and stance lets him shrug off enemy hits and when he unleashes his Ultimate Art, he summons a towering tombstone that acts as both a shield and a platform, giving his allies a much-needed boost.
Use Ultimate Art to Buff Allies
The Raider's Ultimate Art, "Totem Stela," summons a giant tombstone and can boost his allies' attack power. Combine it with other Ultimate Arts or Character Skills to deal massive damage.
Never Use Ultimate Art in Chokepoints
Summoning the tombstone in tight indoor spaces can block your path. Also, if you use it to finish off a Great Enemy, you won’t be able to obtain the Dormant Power until it fades away. Even though the tombstone will eventually disappear, you'll lose valuable exploration time, so always take a moment to check your surroundings before using it.
Break Stance Using Character Skill
The Raider’s Character Skill, "Retaliate," lets him absorb enemy attacks and knock back enemies to break their stance. This is especially effective against weaker enemies since you can almost always push them aside.
Use Colossal Weapons
The combination of Raider's Charge Attack and a Greataxe packs a serious punch. However, his slower attack and dodge animations may leave him vulnerable, so keep a close eye on your HP and know when to retreat.
Raider's Best Weapons & Talismans
Raider's Strongest Weapons
The Raider's impressive strength lets him wield heavy weapons that fit his aggressive style perfectly. Two standout choices are the Prelate's Inferno Crozier (Hammer) and the Axe of Godfrey (Axe). The Axe of Godfrey is especially effective, thanks to its built-in bonus that boosts attack power during Charge Attacks.
List of WeaponsRaider's Strongest Talismans
Since the Raider's style is all about being aggressive while tanking hits, it's a great idea to gear him up with accessories that really boost his strengths. The Axe Talisman ramps up his Charge Attacks to let him cut through enemies, while the Claw Talisman enhances his Jump Attacks for that extra edge. Plus, Talismans that improve damage reduction can help him withstand hits longer and stay in the fight longer.
Weapon attribute scaling is generally tied to a weapon's type, but some weapons truly stand out with exceptional values. Use this as your go-to guide to choose the best weapon types.
