1Once you've learned Strong Push, find the man with the surf board standing in front of a Lapras
2Talk to him to learn the Secret Technique Sea Skim
3Use this Secret Technique Sea Skim to surf to Saffron City
4Once in Saffron City, give the tea to the guard to get in
5Go to Silph Co. building to encounter an event with Jesse & James

Learn Secret Technique Sea Skim From Surfer

The surfer dude in front of the Lapras in Fuchsia City will teach you the Secret Technique Sea Skim. This allows you to glide across bodies of water.

Explore Silph Co. Building - Walkthrough Chart
No.Procedure
1After the event with Jesse & James, you can now enter Silph Co.
2When you enter the building, you'll meet Blue & your Rival inside
3Talk to Blue to battle him
4Make your way up Silph Co. Building - battle with a Team Rocket Grunt & Executive on the 5F
5Pick up the Card Key the Team Rocket Grunt drops after battle - this lets you open doors in the building
6Head up to the 7F to encounter the Team Rocket Executive Archer
7Move forward and battle Jesse & James again while heading to the President's Room
8Go inside the President's Room to face off with Giovanni again
9After beating Giovanni, talk to the President of Silph Co. to receive a Master Ball
10When you exit the building, you'll encounter your Rival again

3. Blue Has Lv.38-40 Pokemon

Blue will have a Lv.38 Exeggutor and Lv.40 Charizard. Use Bug Type Pokemon against it and a Rock Type Pokemon against Charizard.

You will need to have a Pokemon with Level 45 or higher to be granted access to the Saffron City Gym.

1After you're done with Silph Co., visit Saffron City Gym - you need Lv.45 Pokemon or higher in your party
2Go through the teleporter puzzle to reach Sabrina
3Battle & defeat Sabrina
4 Receive the Marsh Badge & TM33 - Calm Mind from Sabrina after battling her

2. Reach Sabrina Via Shortest Route on Teleporter

Reach Sabrina via the shortest route by following this sequence:

  • 1st Teleporter: Lower Left
  • 2nd Teleporter: Upper Right
  • 3rd Teleporter: Lower Right
  • 4th Teleporter: Lower Right
  • 5th Teleporter: Lower Right
  • 6th Teleporter: Upper Right
  • 7th Teleporter: Upper Left

3. Sabrina Has Psychic Type Pokemon

Sabrina Has Psychic Type Pokemon

Sabrina will try to take you down with her strong Psychic Type Pokemon. Bring along a couple of Bug or Ghost Type Pokemon to exploit her Pokemon's weaknesses.
