Rifts are teleportation portals introduced in Season 5 of Fortnite. They appear randomly around the Battle Royale island.
Move Around The Map Faster
Jumping through rifts will propel you into the area above the area you are currently in. They are mostly used to navigate the map faster!
How To Complete The Rift Challenge
Search For Rifts!
Rifts spawn randomly in the Fortnite Battle Royale island so you need to explore to know the specific areas where they are more likely to appear.
Jump Through Them
Using a rift is simple - you just need to jump through them! Some rifts can be located high up, so some building may be involved.
Popular Rift Locations
Rifts spawn randomly around the map, but there are specific locations that they are more likely to appear. Here is a list of popular rift locations where they spawn more often:
Viking Ship
Up to 4-5 Rifts spawn around the Viking Ship.
The Viking Ship can be found on top of a mountain on the South West side of the map!
Desert Biome
There are several spots in the Desert Biome where you can find Rifts.
Rifts can be found in 4 general locations in the Desert Biome - one in the north & south, one in Paradise Palms, and one to the West of Paradise Palms.
Moai Statues
Rifts are usually found surrounding Moai Statues scattered across the map!
