Long-Range Spellcaster

The Recluse can use Sorcery and excels at long-range attacks. Since her power relies on staves, she develops slowly at first, but once she gathers the right equipment and items, she becomes a high-damage turret, capable of overwhelming enemies with devastating magic.

Capable of Healing and Debuffs

When the Recluse lands an Ultimate Art, she applies an effect that makes enemies take more damage for 10 seconds. On top of that, hitting an enemy in this state restores HP and FP for allies which makes it a game-changing ability that boosts both offense and support for your team.

Required to Learn Magic Cocktails

The Recluse can craft and use Magic Cocktails by collecting Affinity Residues, but with so many combinations to learn, mastering them takes time and requires patience and experimentation to bring out her full potential.

How to Use Recluse and Playstyle

Recluse's Features
- Can use Sorcery and Incantations
- Can fight while recovering FP with unique abilities

The Recluse is a character that primarily relies on Sorcery and Incantations in combat. She has unique abilities that restore FP, allowing her to keep casting spells without worrying about running out of magic. Because of this, her core playstyle revolves around using Sorcery to maintain a steady flow of magic and overwhelm enemies from a distance.

Sub-Weapon For When FP Is Depleted

You can restore FP using Affinity Residues and Ultimate Arts, but since other healing methods are rare and FP drains fast, relying only on magic can be risky. To stay effective in battle, it's important to have a backup weapon so you’re not helpless when FP runs out. A status inducing weapon that applies steady damage can make tough fights and boss battles much easier to handle.

Get Staves at Sorcerer's Rise

Sorcerers Rise

At Sorcerer’s Rises, scattered throughout the field, you have a good chance of discovering staves and Talismans. To reach the top, solve the statue puzzle along the outer perimeter, climb the tower’s inner walls, and ascend to the summit.

Collect Affinity Residues Using Sorcery

Since the Recluse has low HP pool, she is most effective when attacking from a distance with Sorcery. Casting Sorcery also applies Affinity Residues, which can be absorbed to restore FP and activate Magic Cocktails.

Gather Affinity Residues

The Recluse’s Magic Cocktail is a powerful ability that activates when she collects Affinity Residues. If she gathers two or more Affinities, the spell evolves into an even stronger form, so it’s best to use it after stacking multiple Affinities. Since it has a long activation time, you should cast it when enemies aren’t focused on you to avoid getting interrupted.

Boost Damage and Recover with Ultimate Arts

When an Ultimate Art lands, the enemy takes more damage for about 10 seconds, while the attacking character recovers HP and FP. With its wide attack range and the ability to grant invincibility during execution, it's a powerful tool for both offense and supporting your allies. A great strategy is to use it at the start of a boss fight to deal heavy early damage, then cast it again in the middle of the battle when healing resources are running low to regain strength and stay in the fight.

Composition Points
- The Recluse is a ranged class with low HP, so support this character by having damage dealers and other support heroes
└ Choose Wylder as a close-range damage dealer.
└ Include Guardian to increase survivability.
- When the Recluse draws enemy attention, the Wylder has the opportunity to focus on dealing damage
└ The Recluse's strength lies in being able to deal damage using Sorcery from a distance.
- The Recluse's Ultimate Art can boost allies' damage and heal them
└ Damaging enemies increases affinity residues.
└ Allies who attack the targeted enemy will recover their HP and FP.

The best party setup for the Recluse is with Wylder and the Guardian. Wylder can handle close-quarters combat by delivering powerful melee attacks, while the Guardian can focus on providing defense and support to keep the team going.

Recluse's Best Weapons & Talismans

Strongest Weapons

The Recluse’s best weapons are those that grow stronger with Intelligence, like the Carian Regal Scepter and Azur’s Glintstone Staff. Switching between them based on the Sorcery infused in each staff can give you more flexibility in combat. For melee weapons, choose the ones that improve with Intelligence or Faith.

Strongest Talismans

Since the Recluse relies on high Intelligence and Faith, Sorcery and Incantation-type Talismans are highly recommended. Because she primarily attacks from a distance and takes less damage, the "Graven-school Talisman", which boosts attack power at max HP, is also a strong choice since she can maintain her health more easily.

Proficient Weapon Types

The Recluse doesn’t specialize in any particular weapon type, but they begin with a stave capable of casting Sorcery. By taking advantage of FP recovery from Magic Cocktail and Ultimate Arts, she can continue fighting without exhausting FP to maintain their offensive magical prowess throughout the battle.
