Lapras ex Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Heals HP with each attack
  2. Energy Acceleration possible with Misty
  3. Weak against opponents with one-hit KO potential

Heals HP with each attack

Lapras ex heals 20 HP after every attack, effectively allowing you to use a Potion each turn. With a base HP of 140, Lapras ex is strong in straightforward battles and endurance matches.

Energy Acceleration possible with Misty

  1. Misty

Using Misty to attach Water Energy can speed up Lapras ex’s attacks. With Misty, even on the first turn, Lapras ex can deal 80 damage immediately if Water Energy is attached.

Weak against opponents with one-hit KO potential

  1. Mewtwo ex
  2. Raichu

With an HP of 140, Lapras ex is vulnerable to high-damage opponents like Mewtwo ex or Raichu that can one-shot it. Aim to finish the battle before opponents with high-powered attacks are fully prepared.

Lapras ex Deck Strategy

  1. Start with Lapras ex or Farfetch'd
  2. Raise Froakie on the Bench
  3. Support Lapras ex with Greninja
  4. Managing Lapras ex's HP is crucial
Choose Your Starting Pokemon Based on Hand

If your initial hand includes both Misty and Lapras ex, aim to accelerate energy from the start for a quick attack. If not, begin with either Farfetch'd or Froakie.

Raise Froakie on the Bench
  1. Froakie
  2. Frogadier
  3. Greninja

Place Froakie on the Bench and evolve it up to Greninja. If Froakie is in the Active Spot, consider moving it to the Bench before it is KO'd, or start raising a new Froakie on the Bench.

Support Lapras ex with Greninja
  1. Greninja

Once Greninja is on the Bench, use its Ability to support Lapras ex's attacks. Combine Greninja’s support with Lapras ex’s Attack to deliver a combined 100 damage or finish off any Pokemon that survived the initial hit.

Use Potion on Lapras ex
  1. Potion

Potion is primarily reserved for Lapras ex in the Active Spot. Since its Attack alone may not keep its HP fully replenished, proactively use Potion to maintain high HP.
