Meowth Pros and Cons

Valuable Draw Engine

Meowth's Attack only deals 10 damage, but it allows you to draw 1 card. Pokemon that can serve as a Draw Engine are quite rare, and it can be used regardless of type since its Attack only requires 1 Colorless Energy, making it a versatile Pokemon to include in your deck.

Effective as Support for Stage 2 Pokemon

Meowth itself isn't much of a threat, so it's best used as support for other Pokemon that can deal high damage. It's particularly useful in decks where Stage 2 Pokemon are the main focus.

No Need to Evolve to Persian

Evolving Meowth into Persian can provide moderate strength, but Persian's Attack forces your opponent to discard a card from their hand, which means you lose the ability to draw cards. If deck space is limited, it's perfectly fine to use Meowth on its own without evolving it.
