The new and improved Giant Crab have its crowd control capabilities hugely ramped up. Not only the bubble attacks put you in a stasis, but will also cast Slowga. When fighting up close, prepare to dash o the sides to evade the bubbles.

Thunder Resistance Gear Recommended

Giant Crab (Hard) will also use powerful Thundaga along with the Slow & Stasis attacks dealing unavoidable damage. Amping your Thunder & Stop Resistance is highly recommended.

Changes Attack Pattern To Spam Spells

After you break both of Giant Crab's arms, it will start to spam Thundaga, Slowga & stasis bubbles relentlessly. This creates crowd control on the player's side as well as limiting mobility so its best to have the aforementioned thunder resistant items.

3. Gets Extremely Aggressive In Phase 3 - Tips

Gets Extremely Aggressive In Phase 3

Beware Of AoE Magic & Stasis Bubbles

After chipping away around 2/3 of its health, the Giant Crab will enter Phase 3 and become excessively aggressive; using large AoE Thundaga, Slowga & stasis bubbles in conjunction.

Focus On Taking Down Minions First

Although the damage output by the Giant Crab itself is not particularly high, being ganged up by the minions while being stunned by the boss may be lethal. Try to take down the minions first, even when you are in a pinch.

Have A Few Phoenix Down In Stock

For safety precaution, it is advised you stock up on Phoenix Down in case you happen to get caught in the enemy combo, and be stun locked to defeat.
