Tips for Going Far

Change the Control Method

You can choose between gyro controls or stick controls for Warp Ride. Stick controls are easier to use than gyro controls, so let's change the control method first.

How to Change the Control Method

Step 1: Go to the Game Freak building

Move to [Heahea City] and enter the [Game Freak] building to the right of the Pokemon Center.

Step 2: Go up to the 2nd floor

Once inside the building, go up the stairs to the 2nd floor. There is a door, so go inside.

Step 3: Talk to the white NPC on the left

Talk to the NPC to receive an explanation about the Ultra Wormhole controls.

Step 4: After listening, you can change the control method

At the end of the NPC's talk, a control method selection will appear. Here you can choose between [Gyro Controls] or [Slide Pad Controls].

Collect as Much Energy as Possible

Collecting round energy increases your speed and recovers energy for going far. Try to collect as much energy as possible.

About Remaining Energy

The amount of remaining energy can be seen by the size of the orange color around Lunala or Solgaleo's head. The larger it is, the more energy is left. If you run out of energy, you will be forcibly put into the next Ultra Wormhole.

Avoid Electric Orbs

If you hit a blue energy orb, your speed will decrease and you will lose stamina. Collecting energy is important, but be careful not to hit the electric orbs.

Benefits of Going Far

Higher Rarity Ultra Wormholes Appear

There are four rarities of Ultra Wormholes. The farther you go, the more likely rare Ultra Wormholes are to appear.

Reasons to Enter Rare Ultra Wormholes

  • - Easier to encounter Legendary Pokemon
  • - Shiny Pokemon are more likely to appear

Distance for Rare Spawns is Random

The distance at which rare Ultra Wormholes appear changes with each playthrough. The farther you go, the more likely they are to appear, so try to go as far as possible.
