These are the three Pokémon you can receive at the very beginning of the Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon story. Each Pokémon can evolve twice and is characterized by having its own exclusive Z-Move.

Basically, no matter which starter Pokémon you choose, the difficulty of completing the Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon story will not change. Therefore, there is no problem in choosing based on appearance, type, etc.
Features of Each Starter Pokemon
Rowlet

Rowlet is a Grass-type Pokémon. When it evolves, it becomes a Pokémon with the Ghost type. Its final evolution, Decidueye, learns [Spirit Shackle], which is very excellent and can prevent the opponent's Pokémon from escaping.
