Route 5 ~ Royal Avenue
Route 5
- After talking with Lana, head to Ohana Ranch.
Ohana Ranch
- Show the Waterium Z to the Sudowoodo blocking the southeast exit to pass.
- Battle with Dulse (US version) / Zossie (UM version) of the Ultra Recon Squad.
- After the battle, proceed south to Route 6.

Royal Avenue
- Go to the Royal Dome on the north side.
- Talk with The Royal in front of the reception.
- Battle in a Battle Royal.
- After the battle, talk with Captain Kiawe.
- Exit from the northeast of Royal Avenue and go to Route 7.

Kiawe's Trial
- Talk to Kiawe at the summit to challenge the trial.
- Challenge the quiz-style trial.
- Each time you answer correctly, you will battle a Marowak and a Hiker.
- Answer the 3rd question correctly to battle the Totem Pokemon Salazzle (US version) / Marowak (UM version).
- After the battle, you will receive the Z-Crystal "Firium Z" and 10 Quick Balls from Kiawe.
- Charizard will be registered to your Ride Pager.
- Descend the mountain and return to Route 7.
