Tips for Capturing

1. The lower the HP, the higher the capture rate

The capture rate changes depending on HP. The lower the HP of the Pokemon you are trying to capture, the higher the capture rate.

False Swipe is useful for capturing

The move [False Swipe] is useful for reducing HP. Unlike normal attacks, False Swipe cannot reduce the opponent's HP below 1. By using False Swipe, you can reduce the opponent's HP to 1 before throwing a Poke Ball.

2. Capture rate increases when the Pokemon has a status condition

If the Pokemon you are trying to capture has a status condition, the capture rate increases. Among them, Asleep and Frozen statuses increase the capture rate the most. Since there are no moves that can reliably inflict the Frozen status, inflicting the Asleep status is recommended.

Cannot be obtained without transferring from past games

Breloom is excellent as a capturing Pokemon, but it does not appear in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Therefore, it can only be obtained by using Poke Bank from past games or by trading via GTS or other means.

Reasons to Breed for Natures

What is Nature Breeding?

It's about choosing the nature of the Pokemon you want to raise. Since the way stats grow changes depending on the nature, it's a necessary element for creating strong Pokemon.

How to Breed for Natures of Wild Pokemon

There is a 50% chance that a wild Pokemon will have the same nature as a Pokemon with the [Synchronize] Ability in the first slot of your party. By utilizing this, it's possible to breed for natures.

Put the Synchronize Pokemon in the Lead

Wild Pokemon can have the same nature if you lead with a Pokemon that has the [Synchronize] Ability.

How to Breed for Natures of Egg Pokemon

The nature of a Pokemon hatched from an Egg can be made the same as the parent's by having the parent hold an [Everstone]. Unlike Synchronize, this method allows you to reliably breed for a specific nature.

What is Egg Breeding?

It's about hatching Eggs to create Pokemon with high individual values (IVs) or Pokemon that have learned Egg Moves.

There are steps to breeding

For Egg breeding, there are procedures for each method, such as how to pass down natures or how to pass down IVs. There are also useful held items for breeding.

EverstoneThe parent's nature is passed down to the child

Helpful Pokemon for Egg Breeding

Pokemon that Speed Up Egg Hatching

Egg hatching can be sped up by having a Pokemon with the Ability [Flame Body] in your party. Speeding up hatching leads to a reduction in breeding time, so it's recommended.
