Route 5
- After talking to Professor Kukui, head south.
- Go through Ohana Ranch and Route 6 to reach Kantai City.
Kantai City
- Talk to Lillie in front of the Dimensional Research Lab.
- Enter the building and take the elevator to the 3rd floor.
- Hear about Ultra Wormholes from Professor Burnet.
- Talk to everyone inside the building.
- Talk to Professor Kukui.
- Take the elevator down to the 1st floor.
- An event occurs when you go outside.
- Take the road south near the Pokemon Center in Kantai City to go to Diglett's Tunnel.
Diglett's Tunnel
- Talk to Olivia right after entering.
- Proceed through the cave and talk to an Aether Foundation researcher on the way.
- Near the south exit of the cave, team up with Hau for a Multi Battle against two Team Skull Grunts.
- After the battle, Hau gives you an Ether.
- Go to Route 9 from the south exit of the cave.

Route 9
- Talk to Looker of the International Police in front of the police station.
- Receive a Thunder Stone from Looker.
- Head southwest along the road towards Konikoni City.
Konikoni City
- Enter Olivia's shop near the center of town.
- Receive and read Olivia's letter from Probopass.
- Receive a Max Potion from Probopass.
- Leave the city, go through Route 9, and head southeast towards Memorial Hill.
Memorial Hill
- Proceed through the hedge maze to the east side of the road for an event.
- Battle with a Team Skull Grunt.
- After the battle, head east to Akala Outskirts.

Olivia's Grand Trial
- Talk to Professor Burnet.
- Have Lillie heal your Pokemon's HP.
- Battle Island Kahuna Olivia.
- After the battle, receive the Z-Crystal Rockium Z from Olivia.
- Leave the Ruins of Life and go to Akala Outskirts.
