Pidgeot ex Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Use Pidgeot's Ability
  2. Pair with Fast Pokemon
  3. Use Mew Ex Against Heavy Hitters

Use Pidgeot's Ability

  1. Pidgeot ex
  2. Pidgeot

The goal is to Evolve to Pidgeot ex. Depending on your opponent's bench, you can deal up to 140 damage for 30 energy.

If your opponent decides to focus on their main Pokemon, you can choose to Evolve to Pidgeot, which can force your opponent to prepare more cards in their Bench.

Pair with Fast Pokemon

  1. Exeggutor ex
  2. Starmie ex
  3. Primeape (Mythical Island)

Pidgeot ex is preferably built while on the bench. Because of this, it makes sense to pair it with Pokemon that can fight with less energy. If you can defeat even one of your opponent's Pokemon first, you can force an advantageous board state by using Pokemon Flute to increase Pidgeot ex's damage.

Use Mew Ex Against Heavy Hitters

  1. Mew ex
  2. Pidgeot

When playing against heavy-hitting Pokemon like Mewtwo ex and Charizard ex, Mew ex makes for a powerful answer.

In an ideal situation, you will be able to use either Pidgeot or Sabrina to pull your target from the bench, and then use Mew ex's Genome Hacking for a OHKO.

Pidgeot ex Deck Strategy

  1. Use Exeggutor ex As a Wall
  2. Prepare Pidgeot ex on Bench
  3. Aim for Final Blow by Switching with Bench Pokemon
Use Exeggutor ex As a Wall
  1. Exeggutor ex
  2. Pidgeot

In the early game, use Exeggutor ex as a wall and reduce the opponent's HP. If you're going first and can Evolve to Pidgeot, using Pidgeot instead of Exeggutor from the start is also an option.

Prepare Pidgeot ex on Bench
  1. Pidgey
  2. Pidgeotto

When you draw Pidgeotto or Pidgeot ex, add Energy to the Pokemon while evolving it. Attack with Pigeot ex against the opponent's main Pokemon.

Aim for Final Blow by Switching with Bench Pokemon
  1. Exeggutor ex
  2. Pidgeotto

Pidgeot ex has a high HP of 170 but requires only 1 energy to retreat. If Pigeot ex is at the active spot with low HP, retreat and switch to a Pokemon on the bench.

Depending on the situation, preparing Energy to switch to Exeggutor ex may also be a valid option.
