Electivire's Powerful 4 Energy 120 Damage

This Volkner deck featuring Electivire uses the main attacker, Electivire, to deal 120 damage with 4 Energy. Although the deck only includes Single-Prize Pokemon, it possesses high power that can compete with decks focused on Pokemon ex.

Benefits from Both Lt. Surge and Volkner

Electabuzz (Space-Time Smackdown) and Electivire both benefit from Lt. Surge and Volkner, making it easy to gather 4 Energy. Particularly when utilizing Magneton, it becomes easier to secure the necessary Energy. It's best to evolve into Magneton as early as possible.

Struggles with Damage

The damage output of Electivire and Magnezone often falls short of knocking out Pokemon ex in a single attack. Since a single attack may not be enough, you'll need to use cards like Rocky Helmet to help efficiently defeat opponents.

Electivire Deck Strategy

  1. Aim for Energy Acceleration with Electabuzz
  2. Stack Lightning Energy on the Bench
  3. Finish with Volkner for Energy Acceleration
Aim for Energy Acceleration with Electabuzz
  1. Electabuzz (Space-Time Smackdown)
  2. Electivire

The first goal is Electabuzz’s Energy Acceleration. On the next turn, evolve into Electivire, use its 2-energy attack to deal 40 damage while Attach Energy from Zone, setting up for a 120-damage attack.

Faster Acceleration with Lt. Surge + Magneton

If you can set up Magneton on the Bench, using Lt. Surge with Electabuzz allows you to reach 4 Energy a turn earlier. While it requires multiple cards, dealing 120 damage by turn 2 (going second) is among the fastest in the meta.

Stack Lightning Energy on the Bench
  1. Magnemite
  2. Magneton
  3. Magnezone

While battling with Electivire, prepare Magneton on the Bench and attach Energy using its Ability. When ready to bring it to the Active Spot, evolve into Magnezone and use its 3-energy attack.

Finish with Volkner for Energy Acceleration
  1. Volkner
  2. Electivire

The next Electivire should aim for Energy Acceleration using Volkner. Since Energy needs to be in the Discard, the effect only activates after a Pokemon has been knocked out. If 1 Energy is already attached on the Bench, Volkner + Attach Energy from Zone will allow you to reach 4 Energy.
