Mew ex Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Mew ex & Budding Expeditioner
  2. Copy Opponent's Attacks
  3. Crucial to Prepare Gardevoir Quickly

Mew ex & Budding Expeditioner

  1. Mew ex
  2. Budding Expeditioner

Mew ex is a Basic Pokemon card with 130 HP and is easy to use as a wall. Furthermore, if you use Budding Expeditioner, you can easily return Mew ex into your hand if you want to switch it out.

Copy Opponent's Attacks

  1. Pokemon TCG Pocket - Mew ex 1
  2. Pokemon TCG Pocket - Mew ex 2

Mew ex's Genome Hacking can copy any of the opposing active Pokemon's attacks. Charizard ex can be One-Hit by copying their attacks.

Bypass attack drawbacks

Charizard ex's Crimson Storm has the disadvantage of discarding 2 Fire Energy, but Mew ex will ignore this effect if it has different energy attached.

Note that if an attack's energy is unspecified, or if Mew has the specified energy, then you will have to deal with this drawback.

Crucial to Prepare Gardevoir Quickly

  1. Ralts
  2. Kirlia
  3. Gardevoir

One of this deck's major drawbacks is in cases where Ralts does not evolve into Gardevoir in time. Faster decks or better draws from opponents will outpace Mew ex and place you in a disadvantageous situation.

Mew ex Deck Strategy

  1. Use Pokemon ex As a Defensive Wall
  2. Evolve Gardevoir On The Bench
  3. Finish the game with Mewtwo ex’s Psydrive
Use Pokemon ex As a Defensive Wall
  1. Mew ex
  2. Mewtwo ex
  3. Budding Expeditioner

In the early game, use Mew ex or Mewtwo ex as a defensive wall. If Mew ex starts to take too much damage, you can retrieve it using Budding Expeditioner.

Evolve Gardevoir On The Bench
  1. Kirlia
  2. Gardevoir

Once you draw Kirlia or Gardevoir, start evolving Ralts in your Bench. For added safety against cards such as Sabrina, it's better to also have other Pokemon ready in your Bench.

Attach 1 Energy To Mew ex

If you have enough Energy, consider attaching 1 Energy to Mew ex. If you have one Energy attached, you can attach Energy using Gardevoir's Ability and from the Energy Zone, enabling the use of Genome Hacking whenever needed.

End The Game With Mewtwo ex’s Psydrive
  1. Mewtwo ex

Once Mewtwo ex accumulates 4 Energy, send it to the Active Spot. Although Psydrive requires you to discard 2 Energy after use, Gardevoir’s Ability allows for Energy Acceleration. Combined with Energy from the Energy Zone, this enables consecutive attacks.
