Damage Scales with Energy

The strength of Celebi ex lies in the fact that the more Energy you attach, the more the damage increases with no upper limit. On average, it deals 50 damage for every 2 Energy attached.

Use with Tanky Pokemon

The ideal strategy is to keep Celebi ex on the Bench while using other Pokemon as a wall. Once it has enough Energy and the opponent’s main Pokemon is in the Active Spot, take it down with a One-Hit KO. Pair it with high-HP Pokemon whenever possible.

Ideal with Energy Acceleration

The best way to use Celebi ex is alongside Serperior. Without needing to attach Energy to Serperior, you can effectively double Celebi’s attack power.

Damage is Inconsistent

Since its attack damage depends on coin flips, bad luck can result in dealing no damage at all, throwing off calculations. However, as a Basic Pokemon, it still performs well and serves as a strong finisher.
