Serperior Pros and Cons

Ability Provides Energy Acceleration

Serperior's Ability doubles the value of Grass Energy attached to your Grass Pokemon. Since it works even while Serperior is on the Bench and doesn't require Energy attachment to itself, this Ability is extremely powerful.

Perfect Synergy with Celebi ex

A great partner for Serperior's Ability is Celebi ex. Since its attack power scales with the amount of Energy attached, Serperior effectively doubles its expected damage output, making it capable of dealing heavy damage even with just 2–3 Energy.

Celebi ex Deck Card List

Standard Attack Power

Serperior's own attack deals 70 damage for 4 Energy, but thanks to its Ability, it can attack using just 2 Grass Energy. This makes its attack reliable and practical.

Slow Setup as a Stage 2

Since Serperior is a Stage 2 Pokemon, the earliest it can evolve is turn 3, after first playing Snivy.
