Dragonite Pros and Cons

Powerful Attack if Successfully Used

Dragonite's Attack allows you to distribute 50 damage four times across all of the opponent’s Pokemon on the field. The total damage output is among the highest of all Pokemon. If things go well, you can secure victory with just one or typically two uses of this Attack, making Dragonite an incredibly powerful Pokemon.

Requires Two Types of Energy

Energy Zone generates Energy randomly from the types you have set. Dragonite needs both Water and Lightning Energy for its Attack, so if luck isn't on your side, even with 4 Energy produced, you might still be unable to use its Attack.

Additionally, when building your deck, you'll need to incorporate strategies like including Pokemon that can use Colorless Energy for their Attacks.

Takes Time To Prepare As A Stage 2 Pokemon

Dragonite is a Stage 2 Pokemon, meaning the earliest it can evolve is by the third turn after deploying Dratini.
