Greninja Pros and Cons

Ability Offers a Rare Bench Attack Effect

Greninja's Ability allows you to deal 20 damage to one of your opponent's Pokemon once per turn. Even usable while on the Bench, it provides a rare option for Bench Attack, making it a highly valuable Ability.

Attack Performance is Also Decent

Greninja's Attack deals 60 damage with 2 Energy, which isn't a bad performance. While its maximum damage output is lower compared to other Stage 2 Pokemon, when combined with its Ability, it can deal a total of 80 damage, making it a surprisingly strong attacker.

Takes Time To Prepare As A Stage 2 Pokemon

Since Greninja is a Stage 2 Pokemon, the earliest it can evolve is by the third turn after playing Froakie.
