How to Use Lt. Surge

Transfer Energy Smoothly from One Pokemon to Another

  1. Raichu
  2. Electrode

Lt. Surge can be used on specific Pokemon at the Active Spot. It will take all of the energy from bench Pokemon and attach it to the Active Pokemon. You can transfer Energy from the retreated Pokémon to continue attacking. This card goes very well with Electrode, which has a retreat cost of 0.

Combine With Magneton for Energy Acceleration

  1. Magneton
  2. Raichu

Combine with Magneton's ability to use as Energy Acceleration for specific Pokemon. Once you have 2 Magneton, it is also possible to repeatedly attack withRaichu, which every single attack will Discard all Energy.

Bench's Pokémon Can Be Any Type.

Lt. Surge's effect is to collect Lightning Energy, and the Pokémon on the bench does not need to be Lightning type. You can also collect Lightning Energy from other types of Pokemon, such as Colorless Type.

Lt. Surge Pros and Cons

Valuable Energy Acceleration Effect

Lt. Surge’s effect allows you to move all Lightning Energy from each of your Benched Pokemon to your Active Pokemon, such as Raichu, Electrode, or Electabuzz. Given the limited options for Energy Acceleration, this is a highly powerful effect.

Be Cautious With The Energy Transfer

Be cautious, as all Lightning Energy from your Benched Pokemon will be fully transferred to the chosen Pokemon in the Active Spot.

Excellent Synergy with Magneton

By using Magneton’s Ability to gain Lightning Energy each turn, you can then use Lt. Surge to quickly transfer this stored Energy to your Active attacker.
