What are Engravings?

Add New Perks to Weapons & Armor

Engravings give new traits to weapons and armors, from additional damage to faster movement speed. They are permanent and can only be overwritten if a player gets another engraving to the items.

Some Engravings Can Only Be Applied to Certain Items

Some weapons and armors can only be outfitted with certain engravings. Swords cannot be engraved with additional bow damage for example and will not appear as an option in the Blacksmith.

How to Add Engravings

Head to Blacksmiths to get Items Engraved

Players can go to any Blacksmith across the game's world to place Engravings to their items. All the Blacksmiths will have the Player's list of unlocked Engravings so no need to go to just one.

Engravings Costs Drachmae & Materials

Each Engraving will cost you both Drachmae and Materials so make sure to save up before going to the Blacksmith. If you're short on cash or materials, you can buy and sell from the Blacksmith.

You Can Also Re-Engrave Items at the Blacksmith

Didn't like the Engraving that you placed on an item? Don't worry! You can overwrite that Engraving with another one at the Blacksmith and it won't cost you any more materials!

Engraving Tips

Here are some recommendations to get the most out of engraving your gear!

Engrave According To Your Weapon Of Choice

If your weapon of choice would be a sword, for example, it would be wise to add engravings to your gear that would boost the damage done by the sword. This is the same for all other weapon types.

Engrave Epic Gear Instead of Legendary Gear

Based on the statistics, Epic gear is better to upgrade and engrave instead of Legendary Gear as Epic gear already has 3 powerful perks attached and has an optional Engraving slot.

Engrave According To Your Skills

If you find yourself using an ability more often than others, add engravings that would improve its effects. For example, the Predator Shot would benefit with engravings that boost the Ability itself, +Hunter Ability Damage, and +Bow Damage!

Keep An Eye Out For Legendary Engravings

Legendary Engravings can greatly affect your performance because of their unique buffs. Keep an eye out for these legendary Weapons and Armors so that you can repurpose them on other gears!

How to Unlock Engravings

Get Unique Engravings from Legendary Items

When you get a Legendary Item with a unique Engraving, it will be added to your list of unlocked Engravings. You can apply these Engravings to the Blacksmith.
