How to Use Dedenne

Fast Paralysis

Dedenne's Attack only deals 10 damage, but you can use the attack's effect to flip a coin for a chance to paralyze your opponent's active Pokemon.

Compared to Pincurchin, this attack deals less damage, but only requires 1 energy. This makes Dedenne comparatively easier to use, if only for paralysis.

No disadvantages to losing coin flips

If you land tails, you still deal 10 damage. While this lowers the cost-effectiveness of the attack, 10 damage is still worth more than Kangashkhan's ocassional 0.

Dedenne Pros and Cons

Can Paralyze the Opponent

Dedenne's Attack only deals 10 damage, but its Attack effect allows you to flip a coin once, and if it's heads, the opponent's Active Pokemon becomes Paralyzed. Compared to Pincurchin, Dedenne has lower power but is easier to use since it only requires 1 Energy.

Acts as a Counter for Desperate Situations

If you can Paralyze the opponent, you can almost certainly buy yourself an extra turn, making it useful for stalling in desperate situations. If things go well, you can use the extra time to build up your Bench Pokemon and turn the situation around.
