Chests Contain Diamonds and Sketches
Treasure Chests scattered across the map can be opened by approaching them and pressing the "Open" button to obtain items like Diamonds. Treasure Chests do not respond to Momo's View, so keep an eye out for them while exploring the map.
Treasure Chests Do Not Respawn
Once a Treasure Chest is opened, it will not respawn in the same location. Even if you revisit the same spot the next day, the Treasure Chest will not reappear, so look for Treasure Chests in other locations.
Types of Chests and Rewards
Treasure Chests are Divided Into Three Types

Treasure Chests come in three types: brown, blue and pink, each offering different items. Pink Treasure Chests give a large number of items and may even contain Clothing Sketches, so make sure to open them whenever you find one.
How to Get SketchesSome Treasure Chests Contain a Whimstar
The pink Treasure Chest with a purple aura is an empty chest containing a "Whimstar." It is treated as a Whimstar, so it can be found in Momo's View. When opened, Esselings will appear, and after defeating it, the Whimstar will appear.

The Treasure Chest sealed with chains can be opened by defeating the Esselings nearby. If you find a sealed Treasure Chest, look around for any nearby Esselings to defeat.
