Craft the Ability Outfit for Purification
In Infinity Nikki, attacking enemies requires crafting the "Winds of Purity" outfit. This ability outfit is crafted during the tutorial, allowing you to use it at any point afterward.
Early Game GuideFace the Target and Press the Attack Button
The easiest way to attack is by facing the enemy and pressing the attack button. However, keep in mind that whichever way Nikki is facing controls the direction of your attack.
How to Play and Basic ControlsAttack will Hit if Enemy is Highlighted
When an enemy is directly in front of Nikki, they will be highlighted in white. Attacks will hit when the highlight is visible and miss when it is not.
Plunging Attack While Jumping
During a jump, press the Plunging Attack button to Purify enemies surrounding Nikki as you descend. Even if the purification range for this attack is shorter than a normal attack, it is useful when fighting against multiple Esselings.
Purification Tips
Hold Attack Button to Lock Direction
When you hold down the attack button, Nikki remains facing forward no matter how much you move the camera. You can land attacks in this way by keeping the enemy centered in the Nikki's view, so target enemies by holding down the attack button until you get used to the game's aiming mechanic.
Jump to Shoot Targets in the Air
When Esselings or Dew of Inspiration are in the air, jump when using the Purifying Orb. Use Float to control your descent and adjust your aim.
How to Jump and Use FloatEquip Whim Fragrance
A Whim Fragrance such as the Traveler's Musings can allow you to fire purification orbs that seeks their targets after a charged shot. Other Fragrances have various effects, so experiment by crafting Fragrances and trying them out.
What You Can Do With Purification
Defeat Esselings
Purification orbs are mainly used to defeat Esselings. While you can defeat an Esseling with a single purification orb, some enemies like the Cobble Guardian require multiple hits to be defeated.
Collect Dew of Inspiration
Dew of Inspiration can be collected by hitting it with a Purification orb. Once hit, the Dew of Inspiration will automatically be collected.
Dew of Inspiration Map - All Dew LocationsRemove Leaves and Obstacles
Purification and Plunging attacks can remove obstacles and can even be used to solve puzzles. Try them on spots or objects that seem suspicious.
