How To Kill An Orb Weaver
Orb Weaver Locations
Orb Weavers can be found in the North and South side of the map. They usually like to hang around trees, so visiting the trees and exploring the branches and roots could cause you to find some Orb Weavers!

The Orb Weaver is a fast and agile enemy, that can stun you for a good amount of time in order to get a few good attacks in. Make sure to equip good Weapons and Armor in order to negate the damage that the enemy can do!

Use Mint Mallet
The Mint Mallet is currently the only Tier 3 weapon in the game, and is recommended to use against difficult opponents such as spiders. Despite being a strong weapon, it's not that difficult to obtain.
Acorn Armor Recommended
Aside from providing a good amount of defense, the Acorn Armor will also increase your overall max health, allowing you to tank more damage from the enemy's attacks!

Ranged Attack Stuns You In Place
When far enough, the Orb Weaver will stand up on its hind legs and fire a web projectile at you. If hit, you will be stuck for a few seconds, allowing it to close in on you and deal a few good hits. Thankfully, this projectile can easily be avoided by moving to the side.
Close Range Attack Has A Wind Up
The Orb Weaver mainly tries to stay close to you and mainly uses a close range attack. It will rear up before striking you, giving you a few moments to pull up your block.
Attacks Multiple Times In A Row New!
If the Orb Weaver quickly raises two of its front legs before attacking, it will perform multiple attacks in succession. It will try to bite you 3 times, so make sure to time your blocks to avoid taking damage!
Has A Charged Attack New!
The Orb Weaver also has a new charged attack. This is telegraphed by the enemy raising four of its front legs, then rearing backwards before lunging at you. Get down the timing so you don't take tons of damage from this attack!
Attack In Between Wind Ups
There is a time in-between the Orb Weaver's attacks where it just stands still. After successfully blocking an attack, you will be able to counter and get a few hits in before it starts its attack animation again.
Cannot Follow You In Water
Keep in mind that if you choose to run away, you can always jump into a body of water. The Orb Weaver will not be able to follow you when you're submerged.
