How To Kill A Stink Bug
Stink Bug Locations
There are several Stink Bugs available to find in the fields to the west of the map. However, it might be simpler to go to the area around the Rake in the bottom left of the map, as there are fewer enemies in this area.

Stink Bugs are very large enemies that spray distinct gasses around their bodies and just hit very hard. Taking them down will be important for crafting higher level items, so you will want to try this as soon as you feel confident and have good Weapons and Armor.

Get The Acorn Set
For this fight, although it's not necessary, we recommend the Acorn Set of gear. It's easy to make and provides fairly good defensive stats. The only enemy you'll need to defeat for this are Mites, which can be taken out easily. Click on the individual ingredients above to find out their respective locations!
Ant Club Is Best
For a weapon, we highly recommend making an Ant Club. This weapon will allow you to stun and deals significantly higher damage than a Spiky Sprig or Pebblet Spear. To get this, you will have to take out an Ant Soldier, which can be a bit intimidating but is doable if you have the above armor.
Battle Tips
Lead Off With The Bow
You'll want to get in as many ranged shots on the Stink Bug as you can. You can retrieve the arrows you used up later, so don't worry. Even if it saves you a few seconds of being in melee range, it's worth it.
↑ Stunning the bug will give you a good window of time to whack away at it.
Block And Dodge Attacks
The most important thing when fighting large enemies will be to either dodge or block their attacks. Even with powerful armor, you won't be able to sustain many non-blocked hits. Most bugs will rear back and then strike at you - use this time to block with the right mouse button.

Stink Bug Parts are dropped from Stink Bugs after you take them out. They seem to always drop, and are used in only two recipes, both of which are very important. The Gas Mask will let you walk through gaseous areas without taking damage, and the Insect Hammer is the next tier upgrade to the Pebblet Hammer.
