How To Crossplay & Send Friend Invites
Host A Multiplayer Game
Choose Multiplayer Game from the home screen and choose to Host an Online Game. After selecting a new game or continuing a previous save, the game will then create a lobby for your friends to join.
Cannot Send Friend Invites
As of the current patch, the game does not let players send out friend invites to players. Instead, players who want to join their friend's game must manually join the game themselves. Invites and global game search will be added in future updates

The host will be able to set the game's difficulty for themselves and the other players. If their friends are still new to the game, the host can adjust the difficulty in order to keep the game level for all players!
Join A Friend's Online Game
In order for you to join your friend's online game, you will need to go into Multiplayer and select Join Online Game. From there, you will need to select your friend that's hosting from the list of friends that appear.
Xbox Live Account Required For Multiplayer
Keep in mind that players will need to have an Xbox Live account in order to play multiplayer in Grounded.
What Is The Crossplay Feature
Play With Friends Regardless Of Platform
Crossplay is a feature that allows players to experience the game with other players regardless of which platform they play the game on. This allows for more players to interact in the game, despite playing on different consoles.
