The Mint Mallet is a Tier 3 tool and arguably the best weapon currently available in game! Despite this, it's actually not that difficult to obtain. Your biggest hurdle will be Mint Chunks!, which you'll need to break open with your Insect Hammer.
1. Where To Get Mint Chunks
The Ice Caps Mint Container is located in the center left portion of the map, fairly close to the Mystery Machine. This is an easy way to access area with relatively few enemies!

Do Mint Chunks Respawn?
We have in fact been able to confirm that Mint Chunks do respawn. However, many players have gone online to state that Mints aren't respawning for them, so it's possible that this is a bug that has yet to be fixed. For us, mints respawned after 2-4 weeks of in-game time passed, so make sure to wait a sufficiently long enough time before checking again. Also, we confirmed this prior to Patch 0.2.0, so it's possible that Mints have stopped spawning since. We will continue to investigate this.

You will need the Insect Hammer in order to get Mint Chunks! This means you'll have to have taken on Stink Bugs and Bombardier Beetles already. If you're not sure where to get the Tier 2 Hammer, check out the link below for more details.

Flower Petals are generally scattered on the ground below large flowers. One place where you can be sure you'll find them is north of the log fence. This area tends to have a few roaming spiders, however, so be cautious!

3. How To Get Web Fiber
Web Fibers can be obtained by killing Spiders/Spiderlings, or by hitting spiderwebs with your weapons. There are spiderwebs to hit near the log fence to the north (right near the petals), so you should be able to get these at the same time. The Web Fibers usually block the empty spaces between the logs.
