Banette Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Disrupt opponent's setup with Banette
  2. Abundant sub-attackers
  3. Highly polarized matchups

Disrupt the opponent's Pokemon setup with Banette

  1. Banette

Banette has an Attack that, on the next turn, prevents the opponent from attaching Energy to their Pokemon in the Active Spot. Its main role is to buy time in the early game by disrupting the opponent's Pokemon setup. It is particularly effective against opponents who set up their Pokemon in the Active Spot.

Abundant Sub-Attackers

  1. Oricorio (Sensu Style)
  2. Tapu Lele

Excellent Psychic Type sub-attackers include Oricorio and Tapu Lele. Pokemon other than Banette are reliable for dealing damage.

Highly Polarized Matchups

Banette decks are generally advantageous against decks similar to mono-type decks, but they struggle against decks that set up Pokemon on the Bench or decks that can operate with 1 Energy. Whether Team Rocket Grunt functions effectively will be key.
