Alakazam Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Attack Both Bench and Active Pokemon
  2. Switch Cards Are Key
  3. Struggles Against High HP Opponents

Attack Both Bench and Active Pokemon

  1. Alakazam (Shining Revelry)

Alakazam boasts an efficient 2-Energy Attack that deals 80 damage to the Active Pokemon and can also target Bench Pokemon with Energy attached. This makes it highly effective against decks that build their strategy around energizing multiple Pokemon on the Bench.

Switch Cards Are Key

For Pokemon that are already powered up, Sabrina or Cyrus can push them to the Bench, allowing Alakazam to efficiently chip away at their HP. To maximize Cyrus’s impact, pairing Alakazam with another Pokemon capable of Bench damage is a strong strategy.

Struggles Against High HP Opponents

Alakazam’s 130 HP leaves it somewhat fragile, and its damage output against Active Pokemon may struggle against high-HP, high-damage threats. While two Alakazam working in tandem can help manage bulkier Pokemon, this approach is time-consuming and risks getting overwhelmed before your setup is complete.
