How to Use Exeggcute

Attach Grass Energy to Self

Exeggcute's attack self-attaches energy from the energy zone. Differing from the existing Exeggcute, this attack deals no damage. So it is likely best used as an opener for evolving into Exeggutor.

Reliable Grass Energy

This attack will attach grass energy even when playing a deck without grass energy. This means that you can viably include Exeggutor ex into any deck, as long as you open with Exeggcute in the active spot.

Exeggcute (Mythical Island) Pros and Cons

Attack Has Self-Energy Acceleration

Exeggcute's Attack allows it to attach 1 Grass Energy to itself. Since the Attack uses Colorless Energy, it can reliably supply Grass Energy even in multi-type decks which is its strength.

Useless if the Evolution Isn't Drawn

Exeggcute cannot deal damage to the opponent, so even if it attaches Energy through its Attack, it becomes useless if you can't draw its evolution, Exeggutor. It might be a good idea to include both Exeggutor and Exeggutor ex in your deck.
