Whimsicott Pros and Cons

Easy-to-use Stage 1 Pokemon

Whimsicott is a card with 80 HP and deals 40 damage with 1 Energy, making it a strong attacker for its Energy cost. Since its abilities simply increase compared to its pre-evolved form, it is an easy-to-use Pokemon.

Strong if Evolved First

With an attack that requires only 1 Energy, evolving on the second turn as the first player is powerful. If conditions like exploiting a weakness align, it may even be able to One-Hit KO a Basic Pokemon.

Can Be Used Without Worrying About Type

Whimsicott can use its attack with only Colorless Energy, including its pre-evolved form. Since it can be used regardless of type, if you find that many opponents have a Grass weakness, it could be a good choice to include.
