High HP Stage 1 Pokemon

Cloyster has a high HP of 120 for a Stage 1 Pokemon and, with its Ability that reduces damage by 10, its effective HP is over 130. Its Attack deals 70 damage for 3 Energy, which is typical.

Somewhat of an In-Between Pokemon

Among Stage 1 Water Types, there are other Pokemon like Vaporeon with over 130 HP. Vaporeon is more durable when used as a wall, and for attacking, its longer-lasting presence is more effective. Therefore, Cloyster's role feels somewhat in-between compared to other options.
