- Get it from Genetic Apex Mewtwo Pack
- Redeemable for 150 Pack Points

You can obtain Articuno from the booster pack Genetic Apex Mewtwo. Alternatively, it can be exchanged for 150 Pack Points.

Articuno Pros and Cons

High HP Among Basic Pokemon

Articuno boasts an impressive HP of 100, making it one of the highest among Basic Pokemon. This high HP makes it harder to be Knocked Out in a single hit, and with a retreat cost of only 1 Energy, it's an excellent choice as a defensive wall.

Ability to Paralyze the Opponent

Articuno’s attack deals 60 damage for the cost of 3 Energy, which is relatively low, but it comes with a bonus effect. By flipping a coin, if it lands on heads, you can Paralyze the opponent. If you can consistently Paralyze your opponent, you can take down their Pokemon without any resistance.

Slow to Power Up Attacks

Unlike Articuno ex, it doesn’t have an attack that can be used with just 2 Energy, which means it can be left vulnerable when low on Energy. You can either focus on using it purely as a wall or use Misty to provide Energy Acceleration to cover this weakness.
