The 'Find Fragrance: Midsummer Breeze' quest can be started from the Deep Aurosa Valley Cavern. If you haven't unlocked the Wishing Woods area, then progress the Main Quest of the story.
Chapter 6 Walkthrough - Encounter in the Woods
If you have trouble finding it at first, look for a yellow rope hanging from a tree since it’s the closest landmark to help you locate it.
You will encounter groups of Esselings from the entrance and as you head deeper inside the cavern. You can equip Whim Fragrance to upgrade your Purification Orbs to make it easier to hit enemies.

You can also use this opportunity to farm crafting materials dropped by enemies and gain Combat Insights to unlock new ability nodes in the Heart of Infinity.

As you approach the entrance, you'll notice two paths. While you're welcome to explore both, if you want to find the chest fast then choose the left path while if you aim to clear the cave, then take the right path.

The Shrinking Outfit, Starlet Burst, is required to explore the area fully and solve intricate puzzles along the way. You will need to use it to get inside small door openings and climb ropes around the area.
Ability Outfit Unlocked in Main Story
Starlet Burst can be unlocked by obtaining the Sketch through Inspiration from the Heart of Infinity after progressing the story during Chapter 6.

Falling into deep water will cause Nikki to faint. To prevent this, carefully time your jump across platforms and use your floating ability to safely navigate and pass through deep water.
How to Jump and Use FloatYou can use the dash to extend your reach, then use the jump to avoid falling into deep water and cross successfully.
The Chest containing the Midsummer Breeze is guarded by several different Esselings. Take note that some enemies like the Hard Sack require multiple hits.
