To unlock the Unwelcomed, you need to finish the previous quest, The Swan - Road Home. Without doing so, you will not have access to this quest.

2. All-Out Mob Battle
You'll be fighting an entire horde of enemies here, so make make sure you're fully stocked, healed up and upgraded before taking on this mission.

Groups of slingers will appear in the battlefield using ranged attacks on you. They are bunched up and easy to dispatch, so focus on dealing with them first or they'll keep interrupting your attacks and chip away your health!
Leads To Unlocking Your Own Settlement
This mission will start the process of unlocking your own settlement that will provide new facilities such as blacksmiths and additional resources, giving you much more options in the later chapters.
Unlocks Atlas (Fast Travel)
Completing this mission also unlocks the Atlas function, letting your character fast travel across the map.
