Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo Overview
The trial is called “1-Shot” as you only have 30 minutes to clear the demo. After the 30-minute timer is up, you can no longer play the demo on the PSN account you played this on. However, clearing the game will allow you to play the demo again with the remaining allotted time.
Factors affecting the demo timer
Only gameplay and cutscenes consume the demo time. Spending time in the main menu, options menu, and pausing the game, will stop the timer.
Rewards For Playing
Clearing the game, or when your trial time reaches zero, triggers a quick trailer of the main Resident Evil 2 Remake, leading to the purchase page.

1. Explore the main hall and investigate the PC
Familiarize Yourself With the Starting Area
You'll start at the main hall of the Racoon Police Station. In front of you is a typewriter, and a 90's era computer. Investigate the computer using your interact button to trigger a cutscene.
Flip The Switch to Unlock East Hallway
Make your way back towards the door near you started. To the left is a door that says "Keep Out" and a switch with a red light. Flip the switch to partially open the door.
4. Rescuing the Police Officer in the Watchman's Room.
Watch out for a screaming police officer
After the fallen locker in the east hallway, turn right towards a room with corpses. Go to your left where you'll hear a police officer screaming. Enter the room and open the door that says "Fire Safety Door Do Not Obstruct" to trigger a cutscene.

1. Fight Your Way Back to the Main Lobby
Your First Fight
Upon retrieving the officer's notebook, exit the room and you will now encounter your first zombie. Since bullets are limited, aim for headshots, which should stagger or kill them. You don't have to kill them right now as you are pressed for time.
2. Deal with zombies in the east hallway
Two more zombies in the hallway
As you make your way back towards the main lobby, you'll encounter two more zombies. You can kill them, or stagger them with headshots and run.
Find A Way Out through the West Hall

1. Unlock western end of the police station
Look for a taped up box
Head on to the south western end of the main lobby where you'll see a taped-up box. Investigate the box, and you'll see Leon cut the tape with his combat knife, revealing a switch to unlock the western end of the station.
3. Navigating through the West Hallway
A Zombie Awaits at the end of the West Hallway
At the end of the west hallway will be a window with a zombie will trying to break in. Be prepared as it will make its way through. You don't have to kill zombies as you are pressed for time.
4~5. Explore the operations room and finding an exit
Acquiring the weapons locker key
Turn right from the window, and turn right again to see a red door towards the operations room. Pick up the weapons locker keycard on the desk.
Acquiring the 1F map
Be sure to investigate the Police Station 1F Map at the chalkboard to reveal the entire 1F.
Finding the exit
From the chalkboard, there will be a gap in the ceiling to your left. Climb through it to reach the central area of the west wing of the station.
7. Retrieve bullets and the Shotgun from the Safety Deposit Room
Retrieve shotgun from the weapons locker
Make your way towards the far end of the safety deposit room. Use your Weapons Locker Keycard to open the locker to gain access to a shotgun. It can take out zombies with a clean shot to the head, but It only has 4 shells so make the most of it.
Exiting the Safety Deposit Room
Upon retrieving the shotgun, two zombies will make their way towards the room as you exit. Take them out with your shotgun and aim for the head for an instant kill.
8~9. Make your way to the 3F and Retrieve the Spade Key
Skip the 2F and Prepare for more Zombies
From the Safety Deposit Room, take a left turn. Take the stairs at the end of the hall from and make your way towards the 3F. There will be zombies at the 2F stairs so watch out. Just ignore the 2F hallway altogether for now and continue up.
Retrieve the Blue Spade Key
Upon reaching the 3F, there will be some pistol rounds to the left. Now go straight towards the end of the 3F hallway and enter the busted up wall to the right. Pick up the key on the desk.

1. Navigate your way through the exhibit room
Finding the Exhibit Room
From the desk, turn left and open the door to access another hallway. Go straight and turn left. Towards your left will be a door near a small bookshelf.
2. Finding the door to the library
Look for a door sandwiched by two shelves
Explore the exhibit room and look for a door sandwiched by two wooden shelves. Exit through that door to access the library.
3. Go back through the main hall through the library.
Don't Retrace Your Steps When Asked To Go Back
Upon entering the library, you'll receive a radio message from Marvin, asking you to go back to the main hall. You can retrace your steps, but from here, it's faster to press on forward through the library now that you have the Spade Key. Descend through the ladder.
Deal with zombies in the library
At the library there will be 3 zombies. You can fight them, or run towards the eastern end of the room with a locked door. Unlock that door using the spade key you found earlier to access the main hall.
How to Clear The Demo in Less Than 30 Minutes
Remember, the demo is a limited time trial, and you only have 30 minutes to complete the demo. Here are some tips to help you save some time!
Survive and Run
With limited bullets and time to play, focus on surviving, running and advancing the demo. Zombies can be tough to beat, and you might run out of bullets or even die in the process.
Try not to get sidetracked
As with previous Resident Evil titles, most items and gameplay elements may not be needed to be solved yet. Focus on the main objective for now and you’ll clear the demo with the time limit.
Master your movement
Since you need to focus on surviving the game, you need to know how to move well within the game, so review the control mapping. Make sure to use quick turns (X for PS4, A for XBox + Analog Stick Down) to quickly run away from a zombie if needed.
