Sunset and Best Friend begins when you talk to Rainey Boots Bootie near the entrance of the Market of Mirth in the Abandoned District. She is waiting for her friend PJ, who has not yet arrived. Bootie asks you to find PJ at the Thuddy Squash Cabin at Windrider Mill.
Follow the quest marker to locate where PJ is. You'll find him trapped inside due to a pile of leaves blocking the entrance. Use a Purification Orb to clear the leaves.
PJ needs a gift for Bootie but is unable to prepare one himself. Nikki offers to help and PJ suggest ordering a gift from Diane. Head over and talk to Diane.
Diane requests 2 Windblooms to craft the gift. Once you gather them, deliver the materials to Diane, who will give the Thuddy Squash Bedside Lamp as the gift.
How to Gather and Track Materials
Take the gift to PJ, who can be found hiding behind a rock near the bathing area. He feels nervous due to the crowd of Pieceys nearby.
Help PJ calm down by playing a soothing tune using the Violinist Outfit. Follow the on-screen instructions to play the melody. After that, talk to PH and he will ask you to wait for him at the meeting spot in Windrider Mill.
At the meeting spot, PJ reminisces about Bootie's song and asks you to play the Silvergale Whistle.Use the Purification Orb to follow the lyrics' clues and play the notes in this order:

Teleport to the 'Handsome Lads Circus' Warp Spire and find Bootie. Use the Run, Pear-Pal feature, or the 'Wait' option at the golden mist to change the time. Bootie and PJ will enjoy the sunset together, concluding the quest.
