Find Fragrance: Herbal Aroma Guide - Walkthrough and Rewards

Find Fragrance: Herbal Aroma quest can be started in the Inspection Center Cavern located in the Wishing Woods. You can use the warp spire in front of the Wish Inspection Center to fast travel to this location.

Unlock the Wishing Woods Area First

Before you can explore this area, you must progress through the storyline to unlock the path to the Wishing Woods first.

If you have a hard time finding it the first time, you can use the nearby Hydro Turbine. You can find the Inspection Center Cavern's entrance just across the river banks.

You will encounter different types of Esselings as you go deeper into the cave. Some Esselings may attack in groups, while others with more hit points will need to be attacked multiple times.

Plunge Attacks Are Effective in Dealing Area Damage

You can perform plunging attacks on multiple unsuspecting enemies at once by jumping hard from above cliffs, allowing you to surprise them and deal powerful damage in a single, swift move.

You can also use Whim Fragrances to enhance the power of Nikki's Purification Orbs, significantly increasing their effectiveness and range. This will make it much easier to defeat enemies, allowing you to clear obstacles and defeat tougher Esselings more efficiently.

Use the nearby box blocking the exit as a makeshift platform to help you reach the top.

Also Get the Whimstar

There’s also a Whimstar that you can collect before reaching the end of the cave, so be sure to grab it.

Avoid Falling into Deep Water

Nikki faints when her hearts run out and when she falls in deep water. Using dash with the floating ability can help you cover long distance and successfully cross over bodies of water inside the cave.

The Esselings often attack in groups, so use either a plunging attack to deal area damage or shoot Purification Orbs straight at them to take out some from a distance before moving in closer. If you get too close, they may overwhelm you with their fast movements and strong attacks, so positioning is key.

Open the Chest

Once the guardians have been defeated, the chest will be unlocked. Open it to get the Herbal Aroma item and complete the quest.
