Oct. 19 - Patch Summary

According to Treyarch Studios' Official Twitter Page, they have announced that a new update is live which improves gameplay accross all game modes in CoD: BO4.

Key Changes CoD: BO4 in the Oct. 19 Update

Black Market (Feature)

The Black Market will let you to unlock different cosmetic items for your character in CoD:BO4. Choose to level up any of the available progression paths to unlock rewards! You will be able to progress by playing Multiplayer and Blackout.

Operation: First Strike Progression Path (Event)

Operation:First Strike is the first Contraband Progression Path that you will be able to level up in the Black Market to unlock cosmetic rewards. You will only be able to progress Operation:First Strike for a limited time so get to it!

Halloween Event (Event)

A limited time Halloween event progression path is also available in the Black Market for you to progress. More cosmetic items related to the theme of the event will be unlockable here!

Blackjack's Shop (Feature)

Blackjack's Shop is a feature that will arrive sometime in November. Here, you will be able to purchase specific item or gear pieces within a limited availability. The shop will refresh weekly to give you a variety of items.

How To Buy From Blackjack's Shop

As of the time of writing, there has been no mention of how to buy items from Blackjack's Shop. Check back soon when more information has been confirmed regarding this feature.

Oct. 19 - Patch Overview

Key Multiplayer Changes

Here are the significant changes made in the Multiplayer game mode of CoD: BO4:

Leaderboards Available

Leaderboards are now available in all game modes to keep track of your stats. You will need to play at least 25 games before your stats are tracked in the leaderboard.

Sprinting Now Cancels Reloading

There is now an option that allows you to toggle on or off, whether the action of sprinting will cancel your reloading action. Starting a reload while already sprinting will not cancel the action.

Key Blackout Changes

Here are the significant changes made in the Blackout Mode of CoD:BO4:

Leaderboards Available

Leaderboards are now available in all game modes to keep track of your stats. You will need to play at least 25 games before your stats are tracked in the leaderboard.

Awareness Perk Optimization

Changes to the perk have lowered the maximum player footstep volume and have made material sounds more audible over large distances while active. Adjust your play style accordingly when using the Awareness Perk.

Keeping Track For Future Updates

International Lobby Populations

Treyarch is addressing an issue where players cannot start a Blackout or Multiplayer game by connecting them to the closest well-populated server.

Zombies Mode Changes

Weapon Camos

Weapon Camos will be coming to the Zombies Game Mode in a future update. Camos included in the statement included: Gold, Diamond, and Dark Matter Camos.

Hosts Exiting Zombies

Treyarch is also working on a solution to the issue of some Zombies games ending when the host exits, and will give out further details soon!
