Create Team Depending on Mission
It's important to create a team that will counter all enemy types in a mission or quest. Fill out your team with a variety of Operator classes to fully balance out your team.
Class Types & Roles
Class | Role / Strengths |
---|---|
Vanguard | Low cost offense types. Good at early game |
Guard | Melee attackers. Focused on offense |
Defender | Tanks with high defense and HP |
Specialist | Unique skills that doesn't fit in any of the classes |
Sniper | Long range attackers. Can take down airborne enemies |
Caster | Long range magic user. Ignores armor and can take down airborne enemies |
Medic | Heals allies in battle |
Support | Provides helpful buffs to allies |
Avoid Using High Cost Operators Early
Operators take up cost when they're deployed into the battle. At the start of the match, prioritize placing low cost Operators than high cost strong ones. This will allow you to create a defense while saving costs.

Take into mind that Operators you've promoted will have a higher cost to deploy. It's better to deploy them mid-fight when you have enough costs and a good line of defense.

Vanguards are Essential at Start of Match
Vanguards are low cost Operators ideal to be deployed at the beginning of matches. They will allow you to save costs for higher cost Operators while still being able to defend your goal.
Recommended Vanguard Operators
Create a Well Balanced Team of Operators
Make sure to include a good balance of different Operator class types for your team. This will ensure that you can address all enemy types & defend your goal from all attacks.

There are enemies that can only be significantly damaged by specific types of attacks. Having both Guard & Casters will allow you to defeat these kinds of enemies.
Snipers Can Take Out Airborne Enemies
Snipers are especially good for stages with Airborne enemies since they can easily they can take them down. They can also control a lot of area when they are deployed.
Remember to Set Skill After Promoting Operator
After an Operator is upgraded, you'll need to manually set the skill you want to use in battle. Don't forget to do this before bringing the Operator into battle.

Bring Defenders Depending on Enemies
Base the number of Defenders you bring and deploy on the amount of enemies that will rush into battle. A Defender is also a must for high damage enemies that a Vanguard or Guard cannot easily win against.
Always Have At Least 2 Medics
Medics are essential to helping your team recover health during battle. At least have 2 in your team always to spread out the healing to your Operators. In a level with a wider area, it's best to have 3 of them.

Can Replace Shaw if Specialist is Not Needed
Shaw is excellent for quests that involves completely defeating all enemies since he can push back enemies. Although, in cases where his skills are not needed, it's best to replace him with another character instead.
