How to Get Operators
Headhunt to Get Operators Using Gacha
Players will be able to get new characters by choosing to Headhunt. This is found as a blue button on your home screen! This will utilize gacha mechanics to give you a random operator from the current pool! Note that you will need to use Artificial Originium or Headhunting Tickets to get Operators this way.
Banner Dictates Pool of Operators
A banner will show what operators are currently available for you to get via headhunting. Keep in mind that these banners change over time, meaning that the pool of Operators changes constantly! Check the banners to see which Operators are available to recruit!
Get New Characters Through Open Recruitment
An alternative method for getting an Operator is by choosing Open Recruitment. This allows you to narrow down the list of Operators you can get, further increasing the chances of getting the character you want! Note that this method requires Lungmen Coins and Recruitment Tickets.
Select the Tags of the Operator
Before recruiting, you will be able to select up to three tags to specify the type of Operator you want. Each operator will have tags pertaining to their abilities such as "DPS", "debuff" and the like. This way, you can dial in on the Operator you are aiming to recruit!
Set Your Timer
In Arknights, you will be able to set a timer regarding how long your recruitment process will take. The longer the timer, the more chances of you getting Operators within the specific tags that you set. However, keep in mind that the longer you set your timer, the more Lungmen Coins you use.
Recruited Through Quest Completion
Certain Operators are recruited as one of your completion awards upon finishing a story mission or tutorial mission. These missions will have an Operator's face icon next to the quest node to indicate the character that will be recruited.
