Breakthrough materials can be obtained from Breakthrough Paths. Each Path corresponds to a specific Role, so be sure to clear the one that matches the character you're training.

Use Breakthrough to Increase the Level Cap

Once you have collected the materials, return to the character's information screen. Press the button in the same location as the level-up button to complete the Breakthrough.

Unlocked Upon Clearing Each Episode

You cannot fully perform a Breakthrough to the end without progressing through the main story. The unlocking condition is clearing a specific quest, which is the epilogue quest after defeating the final boss of an episode.

How to Get Breakthrough Materials

Collect Materials via Breakthrough Paths

Collect the Breakthrough materials corresponding to each Role. The Breakthrough Paths are prepared for each Role, so you need to clear the Paths that match the character you are training.

Obtain from Events and Paid Packs

Breakthrough materials can also be obtained from event rewards and some paid packs. In these cases, you will receive items like the "Breakthrough Selection Box", which can be exchanged for materials for a specific Role.

Obtain Higher-Tier Materials by Converting

Converting is one of the features under Crafting, and it allows you to combine lower-tier materials into higher-tier ones of the same Role. There is no downside to converting these materials, so be sure to make use of it for your character Breakthrough.

Convert Materials in Crafting

1.	Go to "Crafting" from the menu
2.	Go to "Convert"
3.	Select the materials to convert
4.	You can convert other breakthrough materials for other type as well

You can find Convert under Crafting mode, where you can also exchange 2 low-tier materials of another type to get your desired/specific Breakthrough materials. This is not recommended in the early game when materials are generally scarce, but consider it when you have a large amount of materials for a specific Role.

Benefits of Breakthrough

Stats Increase

When you perform a Breakthrough, base stats like ATK, DEF, and HP will increase. Also, the level cap is raised by 10, allowing for further strengthening through leveling up.

Unlock Slots for Monsterlings

Breakthrough increases the number of Monsterling equipment and unlocks the 2nd and 3rd slots. Equipping an enhanced Monsterling leads to a significant increase in power, so don't forget to equip them.

Obtain Starlight Crystal

As you advance a character's Breakthrough, you can receive Starlight Crystal as a reward for each character. By fully performing a Breakthrough on one character, you can obtain a total of 75 Starlight Crystals.
