This guide explains how to reroll in Mongil: STAR DIVE, including whether rerolling is recommended and how to obtain the Compass of Destiny and Compass of Promise.
Table of Contents
Is Rerolling Worth It?
Reroll on Mobile
In Mongil: Star Dive, rerolling on the mobile version can be done by logging in as a Guest. Each attempt takes approximately 8-10 minutes, guarantees one 5★ character, and allows for relatively easy resets.
Rerolling on PC requires multiple Netmarble accounts. Compared to mobile, this process is more time-consuming and requires greater setup and patience.
Pull Gabi to Finish

If you plan to reroll, Gabi is highly recommended due to her ability to deal strong DPS to both groups and single targets. She can serve as the core of your team, enabling smooth progression through the story.
Aim for Jiwon if Targeting Esther

While targeting the limited character Esther during rerolls can be difficult, if you plan to use her as your Main DPS, it is recommended to also aim for Jiwon, a compatible Wind Support character.
You Can Pull 2+ Characters

During rerolls using the Compass of Promise, you are guaranteed one permanent 5★ character, but it is also possible to aim for two or more at this stage.
How to Reroll
- Download the Game
- Press the Title Screen to Start
- Select "Path of Dawn" for the Difficulty
- Follow Tutorial and Defeat Forkmugger
- Progress the Main Quest
- Nyanners Name Can Be Changed Later
- Pull "A New Friend for a New Journey" Banner
- Use a Redemption Code
- Claim Gacha Compass from Events
- Claim Rewards From the Mail
- Pull "New Expedition" Banner
- If Retrying, Start with a New Account
First, download and launch Mongil: STAR DIVE on your device.
Once the game is installed, tap the title screen to proceed to the login screen.
On the mobile version, select "Sign in as Guest" to start your adventure.

When you start the game, a difficulty selection screen will appear. The difficulty can be changed later in the settings, so select "Path of Dawn" to reduce enemy durability and progress smoothly through the tutorial.
While "Path of Dawn" lowers the story difficulty, it does not affect rewards. If you want to experience more challenging combat, you can switch back to "Path of Dusk" later.

Use tutorial mechanics such as Counters and Special Skills to defeat Forkmugger.

Follow the Main Quest and enter the Monster Tamers Gathering Hub, "Python".

You’ll reach the screen to name your Nyanners, but it can be changed later from the "Nyanners" menu. If you're in a hurry, you can proceed with the default name.

Progress through the tutorial and pull on the "A New Friend for a New Journey" banner. This gacha guarantees one random 4★ character.

If any Redemption Codes are available, use them to claim rewards. Codes can be entered in-game on PC and Android, while iOS requires using the official Mongil website.

You can obtain the Compass of Destiny and Compass of Promise through login events and other rewards on the Event screen.

Rewards from Redeem Codes will be sent to your "Mail" in the main menu. Be sure to collect items used for gacha pulls, such as Compasses, Starlight Crystals, and Primordial Stars.

After claiming your items, go to the 'Recruit' menu and begin pulling. The "New Expedition" banner is generally recommended, though the number of pulls available may vary depending on the rewards distributed when you started the game.

If you are not satisfied with your banner results and wish to continue rerolling, sign in as a guest on the mobile version, or restart from Step 1 using a different account on the PC version. For the PC version, you will need a separate email or external account for each reroll attempt.
