Link Chains is a feature where monsters can assist you in battle. Once you've crafted the Monsterling, equip it on your preferred character to activate the Link Chain.
Unlocked Early in Episode 1
Link Chain crafting is unlocked after defeating Cappy Mama. You can then craft Cappy Mama in the Link Chain menu.
Obtain Monsterlings to Unlock Recipes

Link Chains are only available with certain monsters you find in the world. You can get the recipe by obtains its Monsterling. It's recommended that you aim to defeat and capture powerful monsters when you come across them.
Save One Material
Unlocking a Link Chain will require one material from that specific monster. Unless the boss is featured in special content such as Conquest, you can craft it right away. Make sure not to use up all the materials before you could craft it.
There are Recipes From Monsterling Combining
Some recipes can be obtained by performing specific Monsterling Combining. Progress Combining by capturing monsters.
Nyanners Level Unlocks More Recipes

Link Chains are locked behind Nyanners Levels. Some powerful Link Chains require higher Nyanners Level requirements.
Enhance Using Cord of Fate

Link Chains can be enhanced using the same steps as when you Craft them. This will require Cord of Fate which you can get as a reward from Nyanners Level increase. This will strengthen the effect of the Link effect.
Recommended Monsters
King Slime for Early Game
For early game, the King Slime's Gooey Crown is the most recommended to use. It has an easy activation condition (Using a Special Skill), and can reduced enemy movement speed. Great features for early game.
Look for Target Boss Through Requests
Requests will allow you to make a target monster appear on the map. You can do up to 5 of them every day. If there is a King Slime Request available, choose that to either capture it or to obtain materials.
Choose Based on Party Comp

Nokjung | Obtained via Combining Monsterling - Wind Affliction 10% (5 sec) |
Ice Fist Dude | Obtained via Requests - Ice Affliction 5% (5 sec) - Freeze (5 sec) |
Once your roster is made, choose Link Chains that will support or fit your main party members. Additional effects that inflict Element DMG Affliction on enemies are especially powerful. Attaching the right Link Chains to character is expected to increase damage output.
What are Link Chains?
Summons a Monster to Battle

Link Chains allow players to bring monsters into battle when they meet specific requirements to summon them. Each monster will assist the battle in their own way.
Monsterling in the 1st Slot is Summoned

Link Chains can only be activated for one Monsterling per character. The Monsterling equipped in your 1st slot will be the one to be summoned so make sure to equip your preferred one there.
