Early Game Guide for Mongil: STAR DIVE. See if you should reroll, what to do when you are stuck and quickly progress the early stages of the game!

Is Rerolling Necessary?

Rerolling in Mongil: Star Dive is recommended to make it easier to progress through the story. However, be aware that to reroll, you will need to prepare an account for each reset, regardless of the platform.

How to Reroll Guide

Reroll the Standard Banner

There are two types of rerolling: one is to aim for a powerful limited-time character with a few gacha pulls, and the other is to aim for a powerful permanent 5★ character reliably. Generally, you should reroll using the permanent banner, where you are guaranteed one 5★ character for every 20 pulls, to get the permanent character you want.

Getting Limited Characters Is Difficult

There is currently no way to do a large number of pulls from the limited gacha by rerolling. It requires a great deal of time and many attempts, so rerolling for limited characters is not very realistic.

Defeat the Void Flora in Ep.2

Character level caps and new features are unlocked according to your Main Quest progress. In particular, since defeating the Void Flora in Ep.2 unlocks the Conquest feature, we recommend that you first focus on defeating this boss.

What to Do Early Game

Reroll for Strong Characters

After the tutorial, you can obtain Starlight Crystals and 'Compass' gacha tickets as rewards or from redeem codes. If you secure a 5-Star character by rerolling, you can progress efficiently through the early stages of the game.

Complete Manon's Challenges

After completing the tutorial and leaving Hananis, Manon's guide challenge will be unlocked. By following the guide, you can get used to Mongil while also obtaining training materials and other items, so if you're not sure what to do, we recommend following it.

Follow the Main Quest

Mongil's Main Quest is an important element that unlocks new content and difficulty levels. Check the destination and details from the quests in the menu to proceed.

Head Toward the Quest Destination

Your next destination will be indicated by an icon on the screen, so if you're unsure where to head, follow the quest marker. You can also warp close to the destination from the quest screen.

Change the Difficulty If You're Stuck

If you want to enjoy the story without getting stuck on boss battles, lowering the difficulty is recommended. By selecting "Path of Dawn" under difficulty selection in the "Controls" settings, enemies in the Main Quest will be weakened.

Complete Daily Tasks

Once new content is unlocked through the Main Quest, make sure to complete activities that have daily attempt limits. Higher difficulties for Paths, Conquest, and Requests are unlocked as you progress through the Main Quest, so it's important to work on them as you go along.

How to Explore

Unlock Warp Devices in Advance

In Mongil, you may need to revisit maps you've already been to due to Requests and other activities. Unlock Warp Devices whenever possible.

Teleporters Can Also Revive Characters

Approaching a Warp Device will revive any fallen characters and fully restore them. If a character is knocked out on the map, head to a fast travel point.

Pick Up Material Items as You Go

Ores and plant-type materials are used in Crafting and Cooking, so pick them up as you go. Nearby monsters can get in the way of gathering, so it's recommended to hunt them at the same time.

Solve Oz's Puzzles

Oz's Puzzles are puzzles placed throughout maps in various locations. Clearing them causes a treasure chest containing a Compass of Destiny and other items to appear. Note that they will not appear on the map unless you discover them visually.

Increase Maximum Stamina

The "Crest of Wisdom" obtainable from certain Oz's Puzzles can be exchanged with an alchemist NPC for an item that increases your maximum Stamina. Stamina is an important factor for reducing damage taken in combat.

Verona Can Be Found in Hananis

Verona, the alchemist of Hananis, is located on the left side of the Hananis map. If you can't find her, open the map and use the tracking feature.
