How Leveling Up Works
Level Up To Increase Stats
You can increase the character's Base HP, ATK and DEF by leveling up. This increase you get when your character levels up is huge, so if you have difficulty winning a battle, this is the first thing we recommend you do.
Note | Many Relics (equipment) increase stats based on your character's base stats. Thus, leveling up will make a big difference. |
Use "Ascension" For Much Higher Stats
You can ascend characters that reached the level cap to further increase their level. This will not only increase the stats, but will also allow for more upgrades.

How To Level Up Characters Fast
Consuming EXP Materials Is Most Efficient
It is most efficient to use EXP materials to level up characters. You can also gain EXP by defeating enemies but they are not significant and there is a limit to that, so using EXP materials will be the main method for leveling up.
Materials And EXP
Materials | EXP |
Travel Encounters | 1,000 EXP |
Adventure Log | 5,000 EXP |
Traveler's Guide | 20,000 EXP |
EXP And Credit Needed To Level Up
Level | EXP Required | Credit Required |
1 → 20 | 115,000 | 11,500 |
20 → 30 | 180,000 | 18,000 |
30 → 40 | 207,000 | 20,700 |
40 → 50 | 390,000 | 39,000 |
50 → 60 | 823,000 | 82,300 |
Where To Obtain EXP Materials
Recommended: Calyx (Golden) and Bud of Memories
You can obtain EXP Materials efficiently by running Calyx (Golden) and Bud of Memories. Try increasing your Equilibrium Level to battle against stronger enemies; you will get better rewards.

Farming Normal Enemies Efficiently
Defeat Normal Enemies To Save Trailblaze Power
All characters in the battle gain EXP when you defeat normal enemies. The EXP is not significant, but you can obtain materials without consuming Trailblaze Power, so you may want to consider this if you have extra time.
Main DPS + 3 Characters To Level Up
We recommend having 1 strong DPS and 3 other characters you want to level up. Even if one of your characters end up being defeated they still gain EXP, so you can include low level characters.
Note | If you can't avoid your DPS getting defeated, you may want to include a healer. But including any characters that already reached the level cap would mean no EXP for them. |
Recommended DPS Characters | |||
Seele Can take extra turns | Jing Yuan Lightning-Lord (follow-up ATK) | Physical Trailblazer Both Single & AoE | Hook Self Healer |
Enemies Respawn at 4 AM (EST)
Enemies on the map respawn at 4 AM (EST) every day. They won't respawn even if you visit the same place again, so you will need to wait until the next day.
Make Sure To Defeat The Lost Trotter
The "Lost Trotter" was introduced in Ver.1.1. There is a chance it will join the fight when fighting an enemy. You obtain materials and credit if you defeat it, but same as the Warp Trotter, it will fun away in a few turns so make sure to target it first.
