How to Fish
1. Locate a Fishing Spot
Fishing can only be done in areas known as Fishing Spots
. Even though there are numerous locations that have bodies of water, players will need to visit the appropriate fishing spots before they can fish.
2. Swap to Piscator
Some characters have the Piscator trait which makes them a better angler compared to other characters. Be sure to swap into a character with Piscator before you start fishing to make it easier!

3. Select a Fishing Rod and Bait
If you have other Fishing Rods and/or Bait available, swap them out for your preference on the lower right side of the screen!

Keep the blue indicator aligned with the fish icon until the white bar on the right side fills up to successfully catch your fish!
How to Sell Fish
Sell Directly from Inventory
You can sell your catch directly from your Inventory. Simply open your inventory, go to the Fishing Supplies
tab and press on the Sell Button
on the lower right side of the screen.

You can purchase more Bait, Fishing Rods, and numerous other valuable items from Fisheries
using your gathered Angler's Tokens.
Upgrade Your Fishing Rod
You can purchase upgrades for your Fishing Rod in Fisheries that lengthen the blue indicator during the fishing mini-game. Note that you need to purchase the Fishing Rod upgrades sequentially, meaning to unlock the Expert Rod, you need to first purchase the Advanced Rod, etc.
Buy More Bait from Fisheries
Since you can only purchase a limited number of Basic Lures daily, you should consider spending some of your Angler's Tokens on higher tiered bait if you want to continue fishing!

Note that some Fishing Rods are locked behind your Trial Rank, with the Grandmaster Rod being locked behind Lv.60 Trial Rank before you can purchase the upgrade.

Purgatorio Island Fishing Spot
The Purgatorio Island Fishing Spot is found on the southeastern side of the map. Look for a y
-shaped dock and stand on the left end to find the Fishing Spot.
Icelake Fishing Spot
The Icelake Fishing Spot is the same spot where you first unlocked the fishing feature with Marcus.
Sewers Fishing Spot
The Sewers Fishing Spot is found on the northern end of the Sewers. Note that this area is infested with Filthoids, and attracting their attention will prevent you from fishing.
You Can Teleport to Fishing Spots
Open your Inventory → Fishing Supplies
tab. Next, click any item and then select Fish Collection
on the bottom right. Afterwards, click on any of the Fish Collections with fish that you want to catch, then press on Locate Current Fishing Spot
to teleport directly to the Fishing Spot.
How to Unlock Fishing
Unlocks During Dedicated Chef Quest

Before you can unlock the Fishing system, you first need to progress through the Main Quest until the In the Depths of Winter
quest. Which will also open up the Dedicated Chef
Side Quest.
