Progress In The Main Story & Quests
Clear Chapter 1 Of The Main Story

Clearing the first chapter of the story will unlock most of the core systems in Duet Night Abyss. Other systems are unlocked via Side Quests but it's recommended to focus on the main story first.
Special Side Quests Can Also Unlock Core Systems

Certain special side quests can unlock core systems in the game as well. Forging is unlocked via the Wandering Luno side quest and will appear in the Sanctuary after clearing.

In Duet Night Abyss, the early game progression is focused on the main story and upgrading your roster. Since there's no Stamina system, everything can be farmed on your own time.

Enhance Characters and Weapons For Story Progression

If you're unable to defeat enemies in the story quests, enhance your characters and weapons. You can level characters and weapons as well as increase the Skill Level of your characters.

You can also choose to unlock other characters if their Skill or Burst is something you want to use in your combat strategies. However it will also take time to grind to unlock them and then building them.
Farm Materials In Commissions

After clearing Chapter 1 of the main story, you can farm for any materials in the Covert Commissions accessed via the Combat menu.

Beginner's Guide Can Reward Weapons and Enhancement Materials

Once the Sanctuary has been reached, players can access the Beginner's Guide in the Combat menu. Completing the quests and phases can reward weapons and enhancement materials for characters, weapons, geniemons and demon wedges.
